City of Ogdensburg

Project Brief:

The solar panels, located at the city’s former landfill site on Champlain Street, are capable of generating approximately one-third of the electricity used by the Ogdensburg municipal government. The array covers about eight acres of land and is expected to save the city more than $2 million on its municipal power bill over the 25-year life of the project. In addition, there was no out of pocket cost incurred by the town.
