RER Energy Group (RER) has been named one of the fastest-growing businesses  in the Lehigh Valley. The list, unveiled October 28 at the Fastest Growing Companies breakfast at DeSales University, is the fourth annual ranking of those companies with the highest percentage and dollar revenue growth over the last three years.

“Recognition like this might not be what motivates us, but it’s still rewarding to be noticed” Said RER Energy Group President, Jim Kurtz, speaking of his company’s 8th-place ranking. “The RER team has worked very hard to expand our customer base and build a strong business, and it’s gratifying to know that we are helping to make a difference in the region.”

The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. served as the event’s premier sponsor, and Larry Kugler, president of Journal Multimedia (the parent company of Lehigh Valley Business) announced the formal ranking to the 200 attendees. Kugler also took time to applaud the 31 businesses listed for their success in job creation.
“Companies create jobs,” Kugler said. “[And] fast-growing companies create the most jobs. The Greater Lehigh Valley is rich with tremendous business stories; there is no better example of that than the companies we honor this morning.”
