(PA), September 26, 2019 – Bath Saver Inc. dba Bath Fitter, located in Lewisberry, an installer of high quality bathroom upgrades for over 20 years and RER Energy Group (RER), a leading national solar developer and installer based in Reading PA, announced the operation of a 391 kW roof mounted solar array at the Bath Fitter call center. This system will also provide energy for their corporate headquarters, nearly a mile away.

To make an environmental difference to our community while also obtaining lower cost alternative energy source for two of our buildings gives us multiple positive impacts with this one important project.”

RER, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, designed, developed and installed the solar rooftop array at the Bath Saver call center. The installations will offset approximately 325 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually, the same amount as removing 68 cars from the road for a year.

“This is a great example of how to achieve significant savings on electricity expenses using the net metering provisions offered in Pennsylvania.” said Mike Barnes, Chief Operating Officer for RER. “The solar array is located at their call center, but through their utility’s net metering provisions, Bath Saver can use the electricity produced by this array as an offset to reduce the energy needs of their corporate headquarters. This one solar array allows two locations to save on energy costs.”
