Project Brief:

The Canandaigua City Council’s Strategic Plan included a goal of taking a leadership role with respect to using alternative energy sources to reduce the city’s impact on the environment. Two arrays that power 94% of all kWh used for non-street lighting electricity used by the city or 82% of the total electricity used by the city annually are part of reaching their alternative energy goal.
