RER Energy Group’s Latin American Division Receives Labor Practice Award from Mexico’s Department of Energy
Reading, Pennsylvania – RER Energy Group (“RER”) is pleased to announce that its solar development division in Latin America, located in Mexico City, Mexico has been awarded recognition for its significant focus on safety and its ongoing commitment to ethical employee and partner relations.
This prestigious recognition is offered by the Mexican Department of Energy’s Government and Companies Integrity System and was presented in the presence of the Head of the Ministry of Public Administration, the Head of the of Energy Sector and the Head of the Ministry of Economy.
Recent Mexican energy reforms have broadened the scope of the relationship between the government and the energy sector. These entities are now encouraged to interact more regularly to help streamline and properly communicate the implementation of more efficient procedures throughout the industry. An example of that efficiency occurred recently, when The Ministry of Energy, through the Energy Sector’s Coordinating Council Agreement, created a Services Procedures Simplification Group to ease the implementation of procedures related to the Energy Reform’s lines of business.
Carla Ortiz, Division Vice President for RER Mexico commented, “We are gratified to receive this recognition from this prestigious governmental group. It helps to underscore our ongoing commitment to employee safety, solar construction best practices and clear communications with all parties involved in one of our solar projects.”
RER opened its Latin American division in 2015 and since then, has been a significant participant in the industry’s efforts to standardize the solar development process by enhancing construction techniques and offering finance expertise to our partners here in Latin America.
